What should you do to be ready for your first appointment?
For all initial appointments, please arrive five minutes early and notify us in advance if you are running late. Ensure any relevant consent forms are completed prior to your visit. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that can be easily adjusted if needed. Please bring any relevant test results or medical reports to your appointment. It is also advisable to have a light meal beforehand, as receiving acupuncture on an empty stomach may cause discomfort
What can you expect at your appointment?
In your initial consultation we will take a comprehensive assessment of your health history, concerns and general well-being. The session is normally 60-75 minutes, including treatment. Treatment can include acupuncture, cupping, guasha, and moxibustion, along with dietary and lifestyle advice. If appropriate, Chinese herbal medicine will be recommended. Subsequent appointments will be 50-60 minutes total, inclusive of consultation and treatment. If dealing with musculoskeletal issues, a Cupping/Guasha appointment can be as short as 30 minutes.
Okay to change or cancel appointments?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you are unable to attend your appointment, you may reschedule or cancel online via your booking portal or through the confirmation email provided. As a small practice, late cancellations and missed appointments can significantly impact our ability to offer care to other patients and maintain the smooth running of the clinic. Please be advised that a full cancellation fee applies to appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. No fee is charged for cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance. Appointments rescheduled within 24 hours may also incur a fee. This policy does not apply to patients who go into labour, for whom cancellation fees are waived.
Using private health?
Great! When you have completed your appointment, we will process your claim on the spot. We can also email you the receipt for you to claim. If you have purchased a discounted Care Package or Gift voucher, we send you an individual receipt after each appointment so that you can claim through your private health care.
