FAQ's
What should you do to be ready for your first appointment?
For all first-time appointments, please arrive 5 minutes early; also, communicate with us if you running late. Have any appropriate consent forms filled in. Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to remove if required. Bring any blood or test results relevant to your appointment. Eat something light before your treatment, not a big meal, as having acupuncture on an empty stomach isn't great.
What can you expect at your appointment?
In your initial consultation we will take a comprehensive assessment of your health history, concerns and general well-being. The session will be 60-90 minutes, including treatment. Treatment can include acupuncture, cupping, guasha, and moxibustion, along with dietary and lifestyle advice. If appropriate, Chinese herbal medicine will be recommended. Subsequent appointments will be 50-60 minutes total, inclusive of consultation and treatment. If dealing with musculoskeletal issues, a Cupping/Guasha appointment can be as short as 30 minutes.
Okay to change or cancel appointments?
You are welcome to go online and change your own appointment, or you can go into the email you received to confirm your appointment and change or cancel from there. A full cancellation fee is charged if the appointment is cancelled within 24 hours. There is no fee when cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. Appointments rescheduled in this time frame may also result in a fee charge. An exception is taken with those going into labour; no fee is charged.
Using private health?
Great! When you have completed your appointment, we will process your claim on the spot. We can also email you the receipt for you to claim. If you have purchased a discounted Care Package or Gift voucher, we send you an individual receipt after each appointment so that you can claim through your private health care.
