Hello
Charlie’s journey into Chinese medicine began with a profound personal experience with pain in her twenties. She was amazed that in just a few sessions she was largely free of pain back to living normally. This transformative moment ignited Charlie’s passion for Chinese medicine, leading her to a career she hadn’t planned but felt deeply called to pursue.
Now, as a dedicated practitioner, Charlie blends deep knowledge of Chinese medicine with an intuitive and compassionate approach to client care. She recognises that physical, emotional, and mental health are deeply intertwined and works holistically to support each client’s unique health journey. Whether addressing chronic pain, stress, digestive issues, or women’s health, Charlie’s treatments are always tailoured to the individual.

Charlie’s expertise is grounded in both rigorous study and hands-on experience. She holds a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In her primary clinic Beattie Street Health, Charlie looks after a wide range of concerns from irregular menstrual cycles, to pain, stress, hormone imbalances, sleep disorders among others. She has had extensive training in female and male fertility with the Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic and she still practices there one day a week. Charlie has also expanded her practical skills by further studying Chinese classical meridian therapy and Japanese acupuncture. These practices and experiences have all informed the way Charlie practices, allowing her to combine ancient wisdom with a practical, personalised approach—helping each client feel supported, and guided toward lasting wellbeing.
Prior to her career in Chinese medicine, Charlie worked as a birth doula and childbirth educator. She also advocated legislatively for women and families through a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to informed, supported, and empowered birth. With over a decade in that space, she carries a deep respect for a woman’s ability to birth her baby with confidence and care. Charlie loves slow travel, immersing herself in stories of the human experience, gardening, books and cooking.

Charlie is a registered member of The Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and The Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). All of her treatments are eligible for private health reimbursement.
